We couldn’t foresee the issues, but they certainly handled them with grace, kindness, and fierceness that I appreciated from this team. We met Mattie and April a few years ago at our favorite smoothie bar. At the time, we were just playing around with the notion of buying a house, but not ready financially. Fast forward to the end of 2023, and we were ready to purchase our very first home. So, back to the smoothie bar to start the planning process. They started with the typical questions about must-haves, like-to-haves, and negotiable items that we wanted in a house. They asked about the area we wanted to look in and why. We absolutely loved working with them. We asked bizarre questions, or at least what we thought were bizarre questions. Anything we didn’t understand, they walked us through it. We put in several offers, and we went under contract 3 times. The first time fell through because of septic issues that the seller was not willing to fix. The second time fell through because we were approved for FHA, and the site was sold less than 60 days before, and was considered a flip. At that time, we were crestfallen and felt defeated. 48 hours later, we found a property that we decided to see with no expectations, while we were waiting for another property to hit the market. We saw the house with April and were blown away. Two days later, we put our offer in, and less than two hours later, Mattie and April were on the phone with us, saying our offer was accepted. It was a short 4-week closing process, and Mattie and April were there every step of the way. I wouldn’t trust our home-buying process to anyone else. These ladies became part of our family and we are staying close friends.
